Field Applications Engineer - EAST
Summary
Provide Customer Service and Product support for a next generation portfolio of new video Products. Much of the support will include the installation and demonstration of new, pre-production products in the field.
Primary Responsibilities
- Set-up, debug and optimization of demo systems in the field.
- Support Marketing and Sales relating to product performance and design.
- Engineering interaction with respect to understand the latest tools and procedures for optimizing systems for system setup, performance and service.
- Provide feedback on field application variables to Engineering for product refinement and design.
- Coordinating field logistics for equipment and venue arrangements.
- Track record of high level support with video products in the field, trade show experience and a Show must go on mentality.
- Willing to travel domestically and internationally to support customers and product demonstrations, often on short notice.
- Proficient in using software tools, test equipment (Oscilloscopes, Millimeters, Analyzers), and mechanical assembly tools.
- Capable of interfacing with customers to help them understand our products without disclosing confidential design elements.
- Perform daily Field Application support functions.
Qualifications
- AS or BS in Electrical / Video Engineering or equivalent (applied science) or combination of education and experience;
- 5-10 years experience in Video Engineering/LED/Projection/Image Processing/Digital Cinema/Post Production-Cinema, Field Application Engineering preferred.
- 5-10 years related Industry experience; Technical background with experience in optics and mechanical design a plus.
- Proven track record of clearly documenting and communicating issues and project status.
- System architecture, Schematic aptitude, logical thinking with experience in troubleshooting techniques.
- International technical support experience desirable.
- Excellent communications skills.
